Scott “Cuz” Hames
Age 45 of Wilmington
Passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Scott was a 1988 graduate of DelCastle High School.
He enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and Nascar. Scott was an avid collector of model trains and he spent many hours volunteering his time at the Wilmington Western Railroad. He had a skill for cooking and loved to share that with his family and friends. Scott’s favorite pastime was riding his Harley, especially in charity and memorial events.
He was a hardworking man who had the biggest heart. His selfless and giving nature where his two most endearing qualities. He always took care of others before himself, especially his mother, whom he never let down.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Buck, and Stepmother, Therressa Hames.
He will be dearly missed by his mother, Carol Hames; his father, Tom Hames; his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Buck; paternal grandfather, T. Earl Hames; his cousins, Katie, Hunter, and Zachary; and his dear friend, Sue Boas. Scott is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, friends, and his beloved cats, Zeke and Blue.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Scott on Saturday, May 14 at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Why., Wilm., DE 19805, at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment will be private.
