Life Story for Anglis R. Briggs

Anglis R. Briggs
Age 91 of Newark
Passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016.
Born Ray Briggs in Richmond Virginia on October 23, 1924 to the late Laura Burnham. His mother affectionately called him Anglis which was the name he always used. Anglis faithfully served his nation in the U.S. Navy from July 1943 to April 1946. After using the G.I. bill to gain an education he worked as a clinical chemist at the V.A. hospital in Elsmere. He met his wife, Margaret, and they were married May 17, 1958. Together they spent many happy years raising and growing their family. He was also an employee of DuPont as a research chemist. His most noted achievement was his contributions to the development of the Automatic Clinical Analyzer.

He is survived by his children Daniel, David, Mark and Louise.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Anglis Saturday, Aug 20 at 3:00pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00pm on Saturday afternoon. Interment will be private.
