Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
Francis graduated from Wilmington High school, the University of Delaware, and Rutgers Graduate School of Banking.
He proceeded to enjoy a career in banking. Francis eventually retired from the Bank of Delaware (PNC) as Senior Vice President.
Francis is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth, his “sweet-heart” granddaughter, Vetta Karpinski; son, John, daughter in law Genevieve Coutroubis; brother and sister in law, Richard and Eileen McNamara; niece, RoseAnne Singles; and nephew, Thomas Karpinski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1000 Shipley Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803 on Saturday October 22 at 10:30 am. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
Interment will be in the Cathedral Cemetery.
