Obituary for Angela DiCristofano

Mrs. Angela DiCristofano, age 90, passed on Saturday evening, December 19, 2020, from complications related to COVID-19 virus. Angela was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo DiCristofano; parents, Gennaro and Anina Rossi, four brothers, Pietro (Elena), Nicandro, Victorio (Nicolina), and Bennito; and her sister, Maria. She is survived by her loving daughter, Rina Campanella, and son, Antonio (Dorothy) DiCristofano; four grandchildren, Benjamin (Elizabeth) Campanella, Daniel (Marissa) Campanella, Michael DiCristofano, and Kaela DiCristofano; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Campanella; two brothers, Feliciano and Nicola (Mary) Rossi; and two sisters, Lidia (Ernesto) Varone and Filomena (Dino) Sanna; two sisters-in-law, Anna Rossi and Margarita Rossi, along with many niece and nephews.

Born in Montaquila, Italy in 1930, she and her family immigrated to America in 1969 on the steam ship Michaelangelo. A proud Italian American, Angela lived to cook, bake, and garden, sharing her food and bountiful crops with friends and family, alike. She especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren, passing on her countless homemade recipes for cookies, breads, and pasta. A hilarious storyteller, Angela could not resist comparing stories from her past life in Italy to those she saw on crazy American television. Angela became an avid watcher of Family Feud in her later years and never tired of watching the show on endless repeat. Quick to laugh and smile, full of worldly wisdom, and with a bottomless capacity for love, she has left her family and friends with memories they will carry with them, always.

We will all miss you!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 29 at 1:00 pm at St. Stanislaus R.C. Church, 51 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446. Friends may call at the church from 12-1 pm. Interment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.

Due to the current health concerns, and for your safety and theirs, the DiCristofano family respectfully requests that everyone be diligent in maintaining appropriate social distancing and refrain from hugs, kisses and handshakes as you offer your condolences.
