Obituary for Angelo T. "Bucky" Citro

Angelo T. “Bucky” Citro, 95 years old, of Emerald Isle, North Carolina passed away on Saturday November 4, 2023.
Born in Wilmington, on July 25, 1928, Bucky was the son of Mary Johanna (Christiana) and Angelo T. Citro. He graduated from Wilmington High School, joined the Army and served time in Japan with the Occupational Forces. Upon returning home from Japan, he worked for the family business, Citro & Sons Excavating. He joined the Wilmington Police Department in 1951 and in 1958 joined the Delaware State Police, retiring as Captain in 1978. In 1980 he was elected to the Delaware State Senate and served two terms. He was a member of the Association of Retired Delaware State Police and was the oldest living retiree.
Bucky was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Clancy Citro who died in December, 1982. Bucky was the 12th of 12 children and was the brother of the late Vincent Shavico, Grace Shavico Sanzone, Amos Shavico, Josephine Citro Drupieski, Albert Citro, Charles Citro, John Citro, Terry Citro Phillips, Madelyn Citro McCullen, Marie Citro Hall and Adeline Citro Tolmie.
He is survived by his wife, Saundra Citro, and his daughters, Linda Spitelle (Mark) Marianne Skipski (Ronald) Nancy Chance (Thomas). Grandchildren, Joseph Skipski (Jaclyn), Danielle Hall (Jameson) Caitlin Skipski, Ronald Skipski (Caroline). Elizabeth Husfelt (Casey), Thomas Chance, Matthew Chance, Cody Chance. Great Grandchildren, Joseph, Noah and Mia Skipski, Addison Kate Hall, Reese and Jack Husfelt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on November 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church 901 New Road, Elsmere, Delaware, friends and relatives may visit with the family from 10:00 to 11:00. Interment will immediately follow at Cathedral Cemetery.
