Age 75 of Wilmington
Passed away on July 10, 2023.
Anne was born and raised in Wilmington. She was a proud 1964 graduate of Conrad High School.
Anne enjoyed living simply. She was a homemaker who greatly enjoyed taking care of her family and all their animals. She was also employed at the Avon Plant in Newark as a data entry specialist for many years. In her free time, Anne loved to try her luck at Delaware Park and considered herself an expert at the penny slots. Anne was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and was cheering on the Phillies even in her final days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amanda (Culp) and Josef Kutschera; her son, Matthew; and her brother, Jimmy Flynn.
Anne will be dearly missed by her husband of 40+ years, Jim Bates, and her children, Heather Bates and Steven Middleton. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Cook, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service for Anne at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Monday, July 17 at 12:00 noon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:30am-12:00noon. Interment will take place at Silverbrook Cemetery privately.
