Age 82 of Millsboro
Born July 2, 1941 she died peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on February 7, 2024.
A lifelong resident of Delaware, Antoinette lived in Wilmington to Elsmere to North Wilmington and finally Millsboro. She attended Wilmington High School and eventually earned her GED before being hired at the Delaware Department of Labor. Afterwords she worked at Chase Bank before retiring to the beach with Anthony.
Antoinette enjoyed spending most of her time with family and her many animals over the years. She had a beautiful smile and a warm hug. Antoinette was always ready to help a stranger in need whether reaching for something on the grocery store shelf to providing a sandwich and a prayer to a person in need on the street. She enjoyed walking by the beach and drives to see the ponies at Assateague. You could catch her at the casinos making friends with a patrons or playing cards. Whenever she visited her daughter in Arizona, she was always excited to see the Grand Canyon, Sedona, or try her luck at the local casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anne Durzynski and her husband, Alexander Burton Jr. Antoinette leaves behind Anthony Burton; her daughter, Stephanie Czopp (Yossi Czopp); sisters, Barbara Williams, Carolyn McDaniels, Sally Ariza; brother, Jack Durzynski; and many more loved ones.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Rd., Wilm., DE 19805 on Monday, Feb 12 at 12:00 pm. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 am-12:00 pm. Interment will follow mass at All Saints Cemetery
