Arthur N. Apgar, age 85, of Newark, DE passed away at home on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Elsie Apgar, and his sisters, Clara Bray, Margaret Klausman, and Evelyn Bergen.
Artie married Joyce Gargiulo in October of 1960. He was the beloved father of Lisa Flynn, and her husband, John, Laurie Apgar, and Thomas Apgar and his wife, Deanne Regan. Artie was lovingly called Grand by his grandchildren, John and his wife, Jess, Laura and her husband, Adam, Holly and her husband, Ryan, and Marcus Apgar Merriman, and 3 great grandsons, John and Owen Flynn, and Jackson Fisher.
Art and Joy lived in Piscataway for 47 years, In October of 2011 they moved to Newark, DE to enjoy retirement and be closer to their grandchildren.
He worked as a diesel mechanic in Edison at Oak Tree Bus, Eastern Express, Linden Motor Fright, and Drakes Bakery in East Brunswick, NJ.
Art fought a courageous battle with cancer, he will be greatly missed.
