Obituary for Carmella R. Bergez (Eannone)
Carmella Rafaela Bergez (Eannone) Age 67 of Smyrna, Delaware passed away on Wednesday October 5, 2022.
Carmella was born on June 19, 1955 to the late Ralph and Jo Ann Eannone. She graduated from Delcastle Tech High School in 1973. Following high school, Carmella met and married the love of her life, Rick. Together they shared 43 years of marriage and welcomed two children, Jo Ann and Robert.
Carmella devoted her life to her husband and children. She worked for Red Clay School District for 21 years before retiring in 2010. Carmella enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed poker games with her family, trips to the beach, going to see her grandchildren's sporting events. She always made time for her many hobbies such as buying pocketbooks and shoes, Carmella adored her grandchildren and will be sadly missed by everyone, including her dog Rocky.
She is survived by her husband, Rick of 43 years; daughter, JoAnn Pedrick (Dustin); son, Robert (Mary); grandchildren, Luke, Chase, Matthew, Katelyn, Ryan and Cheyenne; aunt, Virginia Thorpe; nephews, Ralph and Keith Jewell and a host of loving cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing held from 6-8pm on Thursday, October 13, at Krienen Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, 19805.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 14 at 9am at St. Matthew's R.C. Church, 901 E Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19805. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
