Obituary for Carol Frances Nepi (Camelli)

Carol Frances Nepi, age 63, passed away Wednesday January 12, 2022, after a strong fought battle with ovarian cancer. She was born and raised in New Castle and loved being close in distance to her adored family members. She met her childhood sweetheart, John Nepi Jr. on Clayton Street. Living only 3 houses apart, their friendship blossomed into a lifelong, loving relationship. Their marriage has been inspirational, as they have been dedicated to one another for the past 52 years and married for last 43. Together they raised three beautiful daughters, Kelly, Tracey and Amy, whom she was very proud of.
Carol was full of life and adventure and her greatest memories were those made with her loving family. They went on yearly vacations, took many beach trips, and enjoyed days at Dutch Wonderland. She committed her life to supporting her daughters, being their biggest fan and loudest cheerleader. She was adamant about hosting Sunday dinners and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Carol’s most treasured thing in life was her family and she made this evident in all that she did.
Carol cherished the amazing relationship that she shared with her sisters and truly believed that a sister’s love is forever. She looked forward to spending time in Florida with her sister, Patricia Eynon, her husband John and their 3 children. She eagerly anticipated the holidays and making memories with her late sister, Shirley Octavio, her husband Robert Octavio Sr. and their children and grandchildren.
Carol dedicated the last 46 years to United Electric Supply Co. There she grew close to many co-workers and enjoyed bonding with them over the years. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Club where she enjoyed playing bocce with close friends and family.
Carol is survived by her husband, John Nepi Jr, her daughters Kelly Nepi (Thomas Legg), Tracey Groff (Devin) and Amy Nepi-Weatherlow (John), her grandchildren Mckenzie, Logan, Aubrey and Reagan, her sister Patricia Eynon (John), her Sister-In-Laws Veronica Hamm (David), Annette DiAngelo (David), and Nicole Goad (Shannon), her Brother-In-Laws Dominick Nepi (Tammy), Anthony Nepi (Vicki), Joseph Nepi (Jan) and Robert Octavio Sr. Carol will join her parents, Louis and Betty Camelli, along with her sister Shirley Octavio, her Mother and Father-In-Law, John and Mary Nepi Sr, and her Brother and Sister-In-Law, Vincent and Julie Manetti in heaven, where they will welcome her with open arms.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Carol on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 10:00am-12:00pm at Elsmere Fire Hall located at 1107 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, DE 19805.
