Age 81 of Middletown
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 7, 2023.
Carolyn was born in Georgetown, Delaware to the late Thomas and Mildred (Walls) Wilson. She was employed at the State of Delaware her entire career. Carolyn was a dedicated employee and greatly enjoyed her work as a fiscal administration officer for the Department of Labor.
She was a devout Christian and active member of Middletown Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed volunteering through the church and found her role of Sunday School teacher exceptionally rewarding. Carolyn enjoyed the outdoors and cherished her trips to Ocean City, Maryland. But most of all Carolyn loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Delligatti Sr.; son, James Delligatti, Jr., and his grandsons, Matthew Malandruccolo and Anthony Smith.
Carolyn will be dearly missed by her sons, Wesley (Donna) Delligatti & Thomas (Susan) Delligatti, daughter, Dianna Delligatti (J.R.); grandchildren, Dianna Smith (Jeff), Wesley Marks, Elizabeth “Jade” Bruce, Amber Richardson, Ashley Boswell and Paul Pasturski, Jr.; great-grandchildren, David Smith, Isabelle Smith, Stephen Frey and Gabriel Frey. She is also survived by her siblings, Gerald Wilson (Hilda), Phoebe Davis, and Tommy Wilson (Marie).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Carolyn on Saturday, March 4 from 11:00-11:30am at Crossroads Bible Church, Appleton Rd., Elkton, Md. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am at the church.
