Daniel “Dan” Charles Eisenhardt, 88 Went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2019. Family was so important and he loved them all. Many called him a good friend.
Dan is survived by his wife Martha Phyllis (Johnson) of 67 years, sons Danny wife Marianne, Michael wife Nancy, John wife Susan, Bryan’s wife Denise, grandchildren Jennifer, Lisa, Michael, John, Erin, Scott, Daniel and Meghan, great grandchildren Jackson, Jaime and Wesley. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Sarah Elizabeth (Lednum) Eisenhardt and son Bryan.
Dan spent 20 months of his three years service in the United States Air Force in Japan. He flew as engineer in an A26 Invader fight bomber. He worked on B29’s.
After over 30 years with ATT, Dan become active with their retired Pioneers club, painting maps on school playgrounds. He prided himself on being fit and spent many Sundays cheering for the Eagles.
Relatives and friends are invited to the service for Dan on Friday, May 31, at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, at 1 pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 pm-1:00pm. Interment will take place at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.
