Obituary for David P Rambo

David P. Rambo, passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2024, only 3 days after his 27th Birthday.

David was born in Wilmington Delaware and a Graduate of Howard High School of Technology.

David worked as a mechanic at German Auto Works from 2014-2016 where he learned many life skills that relate to auto mechanics and he loved the opportunity to drive exotic vehicles. From 2017-2020 he worked at Chisel Creek Construction where he worked as a Laborer/Carpenter learning various carpentry skills and building techniques.

In 2020 David found his calling when the opportunity arose to work with the AUI, Power family. He quickly realized this was the career path for him. Starting as a ground hand he began the Lineman Apprentice Program, obtained his CDLA and was so happy when he was provided with his own work truck. His hard work, patience, consistent effort, persistence and never giving up resulted in his completion of the Lineworker Certification Program through the Northwest Lineman College on March 8, 2024.

We are all so proud of him.

David was an adventurous outdoorsman with an infectious smile. He made friends wherever he went. He loved music, fishing, boating, hunting, riding ATVs and spending time with his family and friends. David always strived to better himself, mind, body, and soul. He enjoyed sharing his passion for fishing with anyone, especially educating and assisting the younger generation in the skill and patience of fishing. When David wasn’t at work in the spring and summer you would find him fishing on the North East River in Maryland and when the opportunity arose he would be in Pennsylvania hunting or riding.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David & Nancy Rambo and his Poppop, Jack Honeycutt.

The memories of David will live on every day in the hearts of his parents, Paul & Samantha Rambo; his sister, Sammi Jo Rambo; his girlfriend, Kayla Thorpe; his Granny, Deborah Honeycutt; his Poppy, Samuel Riggs; his Mommom, Elmo Riggs along with his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many Friends we are blessed to have. Our family pet Ruby will miss tug of war play time.

I hope you have a beautiful view of the Sunrises and Sunsets.

A visitation will be held at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Thursday, May 2, from 11:00am-12:00noon. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place privately.
