Diana L. Guthrie passed away peacefully on August 30, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Wilmington, DE to the late, Alfred and Eleanor Guthrie, Diane graduated from John Dickinson High School. She went on to attend Madison College (now James Madison University), Delaware Technical and Community College, and Franklin University.
Diane spent most of her life in Delaware, living in Wilmington, Odessa, New Castle and Dover until transferring to Reynoldsburg, Ohio for 19 years. She worked for Hercules in Wilmington and Middletown, Himont, Montell, Basell and Kelloggs in various capacities. She was most recently an Inventory Control Specialist/Supervisor.
Diane was a member of the following organizations, Kappa Delta Sorority, Holloway Terrace Ladies Auxiliary (Life Member), and active with the Delaware City Fire Company, where she managed the hall and organized the Public Safety Day.
She loved Nascar, especially Dale Jr., yellow Labradors (Brandy, Brianna and Bailee), snowmen, all the Philadelphia sports teams and Ohio State University sports. She loved to dance and listening to most genres of music, often going to concerts.
She will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure to know her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a half-sister, Patricia Richardson; her nephew, David Roberts and many beloved pets (dogs).
She is survived by her sister, Debbie Watson (Jim); her nieces, Tori Havens (Donnie), Jamie Phipps (Chris), Linda Harmon (Mike), Ginny Ward (Roy), and Heather RIchardson; her nephews, Don Roberts (Kim Green), Tom Roberts (Alisa), Brian Roberts (Shari), and her absolute joy, great-nephew, Liam Phipps and her Yellow Lab, Bailee.

A visitation will be on Tuesday September 7th from 6-8 pm at Delaware City Fire Hall, 815 5th St, Delaware City, DE 19706. An additional visitation will be held at the fire hall on Wednesday September 8th from 10-11am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 am.
