After retiring to Florida, he held numerous officer positions with Knights Council 5399 including Deputy Grand Knight and a 4th Degree.

Hank had many accomplishments including being the first male Cookie Chairperson for the Girl Scouts of Chesapeake Bay Council. Fishing was one of Hank's favorite hobbies where he earned many citations. He was the best handyman ever and was known to be able to fix anything he put his hands on.
