Obituary for Jacobi Maloney-Barnhill
Jacobi Maloney-Barnhill, age 24 passed away on April 13, 2019.
Jacobi was born in Wilmington and grew up in the 40 Acres neighborhood. He was a graduate of AI duPont High School. He worked for Insulators Local 42, under the guidance of his union brothers.
Jacobi was a free spirit with many interests. He was an avid reader who enjoyed art, music, animals and swimming in the Brandywine. Spending time with family and friends, being in nature and traveling made him the happiest.
Jacobi was preceded in death by his grandparents, John F. "Coby" and Esther Maloney; and Judith Barnhill.
He is survived by his mother, Sophia Maloney; brothers, Jayson Maloney-Barnhill and Marcus Barnhill; and his sister, Alison Barnhill. He is also survived by his father, Daniel Barnhill; many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his best friend, Luis Gamarra.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Service on Friday, April 19 at 3:00 pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilm. DE 19805. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-3 pm. Interment will be private.
