Obituary for James F Hogan
James F. Hogan, age 85 passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2019.
Jimmy was born and raised in Wilmington, Del. He graduated from Salesianum High School and the University of Delaware. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. Jim worked for the the Bank Of Delaware Trust Department where he retired after 25 years of service.
Before and after retirement, Jimmy enjoyed playing and watching golf. He was a long time Phillies fan who enjoyed watching the games from his favorite chair at Mulrooney's Tavern. He also liked sitting and reading the daily newspapers and sharing the latest news with other folks at the tavern. James, Jimmy, Uncle Jim as he was known was a good man.
Jim is survived by his nephews, Tommy, Marty, and Chris Hoffman, John Hogan; nieces, Theresa, Margaret, and Maureen; and sister in-law, Mary Hogan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Hoffman and brother, John Hogan.
Our love for him will continue to live through memories that have filled our hearts. He will be sadly missed by all that loved him.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 5-7 pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilmington, DE 19805. A service will follow at 7pm. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Park on Friday, December 6 at 10 am.
