Obituary for James Paul "JP" McCall II

Passed away peacefully on July 26, 2022
JP was born in Wilmington to Eileen and James McCall. He was raised in Rehoboth, DE and was a proud 1990 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. He continued his education at the University of Delaware earning his BA in Sociology and received his Master of Social Work from Widener University. JP put his education to good use working for Upper Bay Counseling as a LCSW for 20 years. He also worked for the State of Delaware in the Division of Prevention and Behavior Health as an administrator of Family Services and Support.
Besides work JP has many passions. He was a die-hard sports fan. He loved the Phillies, Flyers, and above all else the Dallas Cowboys. JP was the ultimate party host, and his legendary Super Bowl parties will be greatly missed. He also loved playing fantasy football or enjoying the sunshine at the beach. But most of all JP was an excellent father, son, brother, husband, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Paul McCall.
JP is survived by his son, Jordan McCall; his mother, Eileen McCall; his sister, Kristin Mackey; his nephew, TJ Mackey; and wife, Jodi McCall. He will also be dearly missed by a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for JP at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE, on Saturday, July 30 at 10:30am. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Jul 29 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions in JP’s name to Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr., Wilm., DE.
