Joan Adeline Boyle (nee' Vilardi), 80, of New Castle, DE, passed away due to heart failure on

Joan married John Boyle on March 9th, 1963, going on to have five children. They remained

Joan and John started their family in Northern NJ and lived there for more than 20 years. She worked as a keypunch operator and later data entry for corporations such as Golden Press,
American Cyanamid and Selective Risk Insurance before she and her husband opened the

where she started her long career at MBNA. In the early 1990’s they moved to Security, CO to
be near her sister-in-law, Marlene, and her family. They loved the Colorado climate but missed
the east coast. In 1995, they made their way back to Delaware, resuming her career and eventual retirement from MBNA.

Joan was beloved by everyone who met her. Her loving nature and genuine care for others
made everyone feel loved and special. For more than 15 years Joan served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer helping children in foster care.
