Passed away peacefully at Seasons Hospice on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.
Julie was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. She was a graduate of Conrad High School where she was flag twirler. She cherished her memories of high school and was an active member of the Conrad High School Alumni Association.
Julie had many talents. She was a skilled artist, musician, and chef. Julie excelled at water color painting, loved playing Beethoven on the piano, and even taught a bread baking class at the University of Delaware. But most importantly, Julie was the true matriarch of her family. She treasured every minute she shared with them. Julie was a loving, free spirited, eccentric who brought so many laughs to so many. She will be truly missed.
Julie was preceded in death by her father, Julio Guida.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Peggy Guida; her sons, Ron Rutter (Robin) and Chris Rutter (Gayle); her grandchildren, Gabi, Nick, Jason, and Ella; her sister, Nancy Diffley (Andy); and her nieces and nephews, Anthony, Amy, Matthew, Victoria.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Julie on Tuesday, May 29 at 12:30pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:30am-12:30pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions to be made in Julie’s name to Seasons Hospice, 4755 Ogletown Stanton Rd, Newark, DE 19718.
