Kenneth Gaworski,
Age: 66 of Wilmington, DE
Passed away 11/26/2020 at Christiana Hospital.
Ken was born and raised in New Castle where he attended St. Peter’s church and school.
He was employed at Colonial School District for over 25 years. Prior to that he worked for Allied Kid leather factory.
Kenny loved fishing with his family and friends. He was a great gardener. He loved to walk his dog, Buddy. He did wood working, making toy boxes, bird houses, stools and anything involving wood and working with his hands. He loved painting and painted every toy box he made. He made several boxes with St. Peter the Apostle Church painted on them, donating one of them to the Christmas bazaar. He enjoyed any activity involving his family, including cookouts, birthday parties, and game night. Just being with family made him happy. He loved spending time with his special buddy Jenna. He had lunch almost every week with his nieces Karen and Jenna at Porto-fino’s.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary McCaffery Gaworski, his father, John J. Gaworski, Sr., His brother Francis X. Gaworski who was killed in Vietnam, and his brother John J. Gaworski Jr.
He is survived by his brother Paul Gaworski (Wanda) and their daughter Beth (Rob), and his sister Mary T. Gaworski; His nephews and nieces Karen Gaworski Wrightson (Ryan) their children Zac Santore , Sarah Santore and her children Reina and Talia; niece Jenna Wrightson; Frank Gaworski (Ivy) and their children Morgan and Madison; Donna Gaworski Smith (Nickolaus) and their children, Kayla Gaworski, Nickolaus Smith and Olivia Smith; and nephew John Paul Gaworski
Kenny made many close friends while working at Colonial School District and he loved each and every one of them. Kenny made many friends wherever he went.
The family would like to thank Dr. Su Jung Park, Jen, Kristin and the entire staff at Helen F. Graham Center for their tender care of Kenny.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, on Friday, Jan 22 at 11:30am. Friends may call at Krienen Funeral Home, 101 W. 6th St., New Castle, on Friday, Jan 22 from 10-11am.
