Obituary for Leonard Howell Mulford

Leonard ‘Lenny’ Howell Mulford, age 63, passed away at home unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Lenny was born in Pennsville, NJ and attended Pennsville High School. He lived in North Wilmington for 40 years with his loving family.

Lenny was a proud United States Naval veteran and served on the USS Bigelow. He worked for DuPont for 37 years and retired in 2018.

Lenny loved reading about naval ships and was a huge history buff. He also enjoyed John Wayne and watching Turner Classic Movies. He spent summers in Cape May, NJ with his family. He was part of the DUSC for many years and enjoyed SCUBA diving.

Lenny is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Marian Mulford.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol (Davis) Mulford; his daughter, Christina Fickes and her husband, James; and his granddaughter, Rowan. He is also survived by his brothers, Oscar (Donna), Richard, and Jeffrey (Michelle); his brothers-in-law, George Davis (Jan), Mark Davis (Ken), and John Davis; and sister-in-law, Darlene Slaughter (Paul).
