Obituary for Lisa Ann Taylor (Boan)

Lisa Ann Taylor age 52 of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 12th, 2020.

She was born in Wilmington and raised in Elsmere, Delaware spending her last 24 years in Cecil County Maryland.

Lisa was a graduate of Wilmington High School. After graduation, she worked as an assistant at an architecture firm for several years. Lisa valued education and went back to school to become a medical assitant. She worked in the medical field until her daughter Megan was born. Lisa decided that being a stay at home mother was her true calling and retired to raise her children and grandchildren.

Lisa was a proud breast cancer survivor and an extremely brave fighter.

She was a die-hard Eagles fan and animal lover. She would often joke that her four dogs were not enough, she wanted twelve. Lisa loved to roller skate and was a speed skater at the Elsmere Roller Rink. She enjoyed hosting holiday dinners for family and friends. Lisa’s favorite season was summer. She would spend her days in the pool or laying on the beach. When the weather wasn’t warm, Lisa preferred to stay cozy inside. In her own words "My favorite way to spend a lazy winter day, is to watch tv all day with my favorite main squeeze Yummy."

Lisa was the queen of her home and she never knew a stranger. She could hold a conversation with anyone and always strived to see the best in people. Lisa was the life of the party and her most treasured memories are times spent with family and friends. As the true matriarch of the family she was always willing to help or defend any members of her family and loved ones. If she cared for you, she would have your back no matter what.

Our loss will be immeasurable but so is the love she left behind.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 30yrs, Dwane Anthony Taylor "Yummy"; her three children, Donald Lee Boan, Anthony Dwane Taylor, Megan Elizabeth Taylor; her two grandchildren, Jeremiah Michael Acton and Dominick Lee Boan; and her brothers, Jimmy Boan and John Boan. Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Hayes and James Boan, and her sister, Kathleen Benedetto.

Relatives and friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Thursday, June 18, 2020, from 6:00pm-7:00pm.

The service and interment will be private due to COVID-19 restrictions.
