Lisa (Besenfelder) Maichle
Age 79 of New Castle
Passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Lisa was a Jill of all trades from working as a nurse’s aide to working at the Wilmington Sheriff’s office.
Lisa will be fondly remembered for her fun times with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and TV time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Maichle Sr. whom she cherished.
Lisa will be dearly missed by her daughter, Kim Egbert (Scott); her sons, Bob Maichle Jr. (Christine) and David Maichle (Laura); and her grandchildren, Bryce and Riley. She also leaves to cherish her memory numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchild, two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
The family would like to especially thank dear friend and caregiver, Kathy Porter.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE, on Sunday, Oct 8 from 3:00pm-6:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 801 N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, on Monday, Oct 9 at 10:30am. Interment will take place privately at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family ask contributions to be made in Lisa’s name to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside. Rd., Wilm., DE or Our Lady of Fatima Church.
