Obituary for Maria E Lugo

Maria Eusebia Lugo was born on July 22,1942 and took her last breath on Friday October 30, 2020 in the early afternoon. Maria was born in Barrio Puerto De Hobo, Guayama, Puerto Rico to the late Eusebia Benvenutti and Felix Lugo. She was one of 15 children who were raised in one of the beautiful tropical areas of Puerto Rico. Maria moved to the mainland in 1963 where she raised her seven children, who all became successful in their own ventures. She lived in New York and then settled in Philadelphia. Maria enjoyed many hobbies and passed her many talents to her children. She enjoyed many hobbies, especially gardening. Maria had a green thumb which she used to keep many plants, flowers and vegetables throughout the years. Her other hobbies included crochet, cooking, and crafting. In the 1980’s Maria attended Corte y Confeccion where she majored in Seamstress. She used this knowledge to make clothing for her children that were loved by everyone. Maria also purchased DIY books to teach herself to do home repairs. She became proficient in plumbing, drywall, floor work and other repairs around the house. Maria enjoyed all types of music and loved to dance. She knew all the new hits of today and kept in tune with current affairs. Maria would raise one's spirits with her smile and bring joy to those around her. Her smile was infectious and her kindness for others was inspiring. With all her hard work she would inspire not only her children but others to do their best in all aspects of their lives. Her greatest weakness was children. Maria was loved by all that knew her. Maria leaves behind her loving children; Ana Gutierrez Lugo, Aurea Lugo, Aurelio Morales, Maria Morales Lugo, Georgina Gonzalez, Norma Lora and Mario Morales. She also leaves behind 19 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren.
We were all blessed to know and love Mama, she will greatly be missed.
