Obituary for Mark K. "Kelly" Hynson Sr.

Mark "Kelly" Hynson, Sr

Age 61 of New Castle, DE passed away on August 18, 2023 after a brief illness.
Born on May 21, 1962, Kelly is the son of the late Thomas and Elsie Hynson.

Kelly attended Wilmington High School, where he played his favorite sport,
football. He worked many years for Laborer's Local 199.

Because of his love for his children and his passion for sports, he coached baseball
and softball for Elsmere Babe Ruth and New Castle Little League. He loved
family gatherings with his siblings and enjoyed sharing stories with them.

Kelly was the happiest when he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren
and always looked forward to holidays and birthday parties. Watching his
grandchildren's ball games or simply just having fun, brought him the most joy.

Kelly loved life and was grateful for every day he was able to enjoy it.

In addition to his parents, Kelly was preceded in death by his siblings,
Roy Redwine, Tom Hynson, Brian Hynson and Terry Hynson.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine Hynson, his children, Terri Rife (Kevin),
Mark Hynson (Melissa), Kristina Krawczyk (Mike), Nick Hynson (Eloisa),
Megan McNier (Jesse) and his grandchildren Ethan, Alayna, Emma, Madelyn,
Cora and Nolan. He is also survived by his siblings, Patti Falkowski (John), Linda Willoughby (Tom), Gary Hynson, Timmy Hynson (Cinnamon), Maryann Morrison and Sean Hynson along with many nieces and nephews. He was very fortunate to have great friends in his life that would do anything for him.

Kelly had a heart of gold and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mass will be held at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 901 E Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804, on Tuesday, August 29 at 12:00pm. Visitation will be held at the church between 11am and 12pm. Interment will follow mass at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made in Kelly's name to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald
House or your favorite children's charity.
