Passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021.
Martha was born the only child of the late Frank and Myrtle (Swihart) Ross in Waynesburg, PA. In her early years, Martha worked on a farm and developed a great love of all farm animals and the outdoors. She was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson PA High School. In school Martha, loved playing the clarinet and was a member of the band. She then attended Speech School in Langhorne, PA and worked for several years at Green County Memorial Hospital.
Martha married Kenneth Franklin Fulton on September 5, 1959. They later moved to Delaware and raised three children. She worked at St. Anthony Day Care and the Ferris School for many years. Martha was a longtime active member of Elsmere Presbyterian Church. She was a friend to all and an extremely loving and kind human being. Martha loved her family and her relationship with God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Fulton; her brother-in-law, Jack Gower; her sister-in-law, Georgia Markham; and her mother-in-law, Sarah Elizabeth Fulton. She will be dearly missed by her children, Barbara Fulton, Robert Fulton (Lora), and Kenneth Fulton (Robin); her 8 grandchildren,and 5 great grandchildren. Martha is also survived by her sister-in-law, Betty Gower and brother-in-law, Ray Markham.
Relatives and friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805, on Monday, March 15, from 5:00-7:00pm. The funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing at 7:00 pm. Interment will take place at Silverbrook Cemetery on Tuesday, March 16 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made in Martha’s name to Compassionate Care Hospice, 405 East Marsh Lane, Suite #4, Newport, DE 19804.
