Obituary for Mary M Edwards (Maichle)
Mary, age 63 of Bear, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21st at Christiana Hospital.
Mary was a loving and caring wife to Timothy Edwards for 29 years until Tim passed in 2013. Mary and Tim were high school sweethearts since 1970.
She worked as an insurance administer for many years before retiring in 2014. She loved going on vacation every year to Daytona Beach Florida with family and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Mary E. Maichle and James W. Maichle; her husband, Tim L. Edwards; her brother, James W. Maichle; and niece, Kristeena Flowers- Nichols.
She is survived by her sisters, Ruth Foster and companion, Charles Flowers of Newark; Ann Flowers and her husband, Garry of Bear; brother, Ralph Maichle and wife, Louise of Bear; sister in law, Carol Stanley and husband, Vance of Middle town; sister in law, Jo-ann Woodall and husband, Gary of Delaware City; nephews, Ryan, Edward and Timothy. Mary is also survived by Michael Edwards whom she raised as a son.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy, Elsmere on Wednesday February 27 at 5:00pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Blood Bank of Delaware.
