Mary Rose Episcopo
Age 93 of New Castle
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
Mary was born to the late Joseph and Mary (Skibicki) Bonkowsk. She was the 4th of 10 children and loved growing up in Wilmington with her large close family.
In her spare time Mary enjoyed going out to eat with her family. Her favorite restaurant was Boondocks where she always enjoyed fresh seafood, especially the shrimp. When her husband retired, Mary and John became snowbirds. For 30 years they split their time between Florida and Delaware. Mary always enjoyed hidden word puzzles and never missed a chance to watch the game show network. She was also a talented cook and baker and loved sharing her skill with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John; and her siblings, Edward, John, Joseph, Thomas, Frank, Margaret Cocciolone, Barbara Margheritta, and Ann.
She will be dearly missed by her children, John Episcopo, Marie Episcopo, and Cheryl Darden; her grandchildren, BJ, Grace, and Ana. She is also survived by her sister, Geraldine "Geri" Bove.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service from Mary on Tuesday, December 28 at 11:00am at Krienen Funeral Home, 101 W. 6th Street, New Castle, DE 19720. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00am-11:00am. Interment will take place after the service at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church Cemetery.
