Life Story for Mary T Gray (Hagee)
Mary T. Gray, wife of the late, Layton E. “Buzzy” Gray, Jr. and mother to Maryellen Lewandowski, passed away on December 13, 2018.
Born on August 31, 1927 in Wilmington, DE to the late William J. Hagee and Agnes (Monigle) Hagee.
Mary was a member of the American Legion 28 Ladies Auxiliary and the VFW Quillens Point, Post 7234 of Ocean View. She was a long-time parishioner of St. John the Beloved R.C. Church.
She loved to travel. Her favorite places included, Hawaii and Florida in the winter and Delaware beaches in the summer. She enjoyed crocheting and Philadelphia sports, especially the Eagles and the Phillies. She was also a Notre Dame football fan.
Mary is preceded in death by her grandsons, David Andrew Monaco and Nathan A. Lewandowski; great-granddaughter, Aubree Lynn Gray; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Maryellen and her husband, Ronald; and grandson, Geoffrey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 20, at 11:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena R.C. Church, 2503 Centerville Rd. Wilm, DE. 19808. Friends may call at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home from 9:30 – 10:30. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
