Obituary for Mathew Orville Jude O'Hop
Mathew Orville Jude O’Hop, age 37, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 29th.
His greatest joys were spending time with his daughter, Taylor Kennedy, and playing basketball with Bailey. He was an incredibly talented musician who enjoyed playing the guitar. His passion for music brought Mathew peace and solace. He also enjoyed watching and playing sports with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Connie (Williamson) and Keith Thomas; daughters, Taylor Kennedy O’Hop and Bailey White; and their mother, Lindsey Harry; his siblings, Patricia Williamson, and William (Jenny) O’Hop. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Carli (Cory), Cuyler, Kiersten, Liam, Rylan, Gradaigh, Sophia, Connor, and Jocelyn; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins from his large Irish clan. He was also mentored and supported by his friend, Father William Hazzard, who greatly influenced his life.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mathew’s life at a mass of Christian Burial at St. Mathew’s Roman Catholic Church, 1013 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 6th. Intermittent will be held privately.
