Obituary for Michael Wayne Chitwood
Michael W. Chitwood age 78 of New Castle passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020.
Michael was born in Roanoke, VA to the late Willard C. and Anna Christine (Robertson) Chitwood. He married his loving wife, Lola on December 17, 1966 and they moved to Delaware in 1976. Michael was a hard-working man. He was employed as a credit fraud investigator for CoreStates Bank, working with the FBI and Secret Service, and as an investigator for the Delaware Department of Labor.
When Michael wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing golf and cheering on his favorite football team, the Washington Football team. He also had a passion for classic cars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola and his brother, Bobby Chitwood.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Kendra Earvase (Jeff), and his granddaughter, Kasey.
