Michael R. Christina
Age 56 of Wilmington
Passed away suddenly after a short illness on Saturday, December 14, 2024, with his family by his side.
Michael was born and raised in Wilmington. He attended A.I. DuPont High School. Michael was a talented drummer starting with his high school band drum line into his adult life in the band Muthaload. Upon graduation Michael went to work for his father's construction company J.E. Workman Roofing before branching out to do his own work as a general contractor.
Michael was never one to really sit still and he threw his passion into motorcycles. He loved working on and building his bikes. He enjoyed R.C. Cars and running his model trains. Michael also loved to watch NASCAR and supercross with his grandson. He was a member of the Road Crue Motorcycle Club, RCMC, where he made many lifelong friends that shared his interests.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, P. Jim and Margaret (Gilroy) Christina, and his cousin, Scott "Cuz" Hames, who was like a brother to him.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Lori Christina ; his daughters, Katelyn Christina and Hunter Christina (Anthony Donovan); and his grandsons, Zachary and Braxton. He is also survived by his siblings, James Christina, Michelle Murphy, and Heather Lindo-Fagan, as well as many dear friends.
The viewing for Michael will take place on Wednesday, Dec 18 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805. A Celebration of life service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec 19 at 10:00am. Interment will take place privately.
