Michael Williamson Sr, unexpectedly passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2025 at 71 years of age.
Michael, affectionately known as "Bunker" was born on January 15, 1954 to Marie (DeLuca) and the late Norman H. Williamson Sr., in Wilmington DE.
A 1972 graduate of Conrad HS, Bunker played high school and Americn legion baseball. In 1973 Bunker enlisted in the United States Navy to proudly serve the country he loved, keeping the boilers lit aboard the USS Saratoga, steaming her to the middle east and the Mediterranean.
After serving his country, he completed his HVAC apprenticeship working for George H. Burns Inc, taking care of his hometown, while also umpiring, and coaching little league, and softball.
Highly regarded in the field of HVAC, he retired as lead facilities engineer for PM Realty in Wilmington, allowing him to devote more time as Commander of the Charles E. Durney Post #27 in Wilmington DE.
Bunker was a Philly sports fan but an absolute Eagles fan through and through. He loved them during the highs and lows. Watching them with friends and family at the Durney was a favorite pastime.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Norman Sr; loving wife, Star and his cherished daughter, Marci. He is survived by his mother, Marie; beloved wife, Christine (Elliott); sister, Candie Gravino (Dante); brothers, Norm Jr, and Johnny (Little); son, Mike Jr (Melanie); step sons, Tom Marando (Brandy) and Brian Marando (Samantha), 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who called him Uncle Bunk, along with many lifelong friends who will miss him and his stories dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 901 N. Dupont St. Wilm., DE 19805, on Wednesday, January 7 at 12:30 pm. Visitation will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, from 10:00 am -11:30 am. Interment will take place private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
