Michael Preston Mazick-Passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2018. He was born on April 2, 1962, the oldest son of Michael and Dorothy (Bader) Mazick of Wilmington, Delaware.

Mike went to Holy Spirit School in New Castle and graduated from Salesianum High School in 1980. He worked as a laborer for several construction companies, and enjoyed coaching youth basketball, playing softball (he was always ready to have a catch) and watching the horses at Delaware Park. He was an avid sports fan, and the only thing he loved more than Hershey’s Chocolate Cherry Filled Kisses, the Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Phillies, was spending Christmas Eve with his family. Mike was quick witted, had a good heart, and was kind to those who knew him best, and will be missed dearly.

In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by his siblings, Monica Lee and Mark Mazick (Meghan); nephews, Kevin Mazick and Alexander Lee; and nieces, Julia Lee, Chloe, Rachel and Natalie Mazick.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 20 at 12PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 901 E Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804. Friends may call at the church from 10:30-11:30 am. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Ave, Wilmington, DE 19805.
