Obituary for Phyllis M Ballance
Phyllis M. Ballance, born in Wilmington, Delaware April 7, 1952 to the late James A. And Molly S. (Blumenfeld) Campbell, won her battle with Cancer on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. She was a 1970 graduate of Thomas McKean High School and a Delaware native.
Phyllis enjoyed crocheting, Bingo, cooking (especially her famous macaroni salad), playing poker on Saturday nights, and spending time with her family and friends, most importantly her husband and her son. She was a charitable and compassionate person; always taking the side of the "underdog". She loved to travel and delighted in her trips to the beach.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles L. Ballance and her brother, Larry Campbell.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Michael J. Ballance; siblings, Michael Campbell (Audrey), Gene Campbell (Mark), Patricia Grabowski (Dave), Janet Comolli, and Grace Miller; her dog, Milo, and her cat, Inky. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Sunday, April 14, 2019 from 3pm-5pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington De. 19805.
Internment will be on Monday, April 15, at 11am at Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Bear, Delaware.
