Obituary for Raymond F Krupa

Raymond F. Krupa age 88 of Wilmington passed away peacefully on November 23, 2018 at Kutz Home.

Ray was a 1950 graduate of Wilmington High School. He went to work for Delmarva Power in the underground cable department, retiring after 35 years of dedicated service. Ray married the love of his life, Barbara Burke, and together they shared over 50 happy years. Ray was also a long-time parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church.

In his younger years, Ray enjoyed his time at the family’s beach cottage. There he and his brother, Vince would go crabbing. Later, he loved to share all his “secret spots” of the Delaware Bay with his children and grandchildren. Ray was a Phillies and Notre Dame football fan. He enjoyed cheering for them both through good and bad seasons. In his retirement, Ray relished traveling with his wife to places like Florida, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. Most of all, however, Ray loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Krupa; his brothers, John, Walter, Vince, Jim, and Frank; and his sister, Theresa Sowinski.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Margaret Krupa, Raymond Krupa, Janet Tucker (Jeffrey), and Joseph Krupa (Wendyann); his 7 grandchildren, Jill Fox, Ian Simpson, William Krupa, Kylene Woods, Grace Krupa, Felix Krupa, and Joseph Krupa; and his 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Road, Elsmere, DE, on Wednesday, November 28, at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the church from 9:30-10:30am. Interment will take place at Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Ray’s name to Milton and Hattie Kutz Home, 704 River Rd, Wilmington, DE 19809.
