Passed away peacefully on May 12, 2022.
Ray was born to the late Raymond and Barbara (Burke) Krupa and raised in Wilmington. He was a graduate of Delcastle Technical High School and worked as a machinist for several years before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1977. During the majority of his service, he was stationed in Scotland and worked as a submarine tender for the nuclear submarine program. Once honorably discharged in 1981, Ray went to work as a contract tech traveling the U.S. and working in several major nuclear power plants including McGuire, Grand Gulf, and Salem PSEG. He retired in 2015.
Ray had a passion for motorcycles. He was a lifetime member of the U.S. Miliary Vets Motorcycle Club. Ray served as Vice President for two years, and as a Field Training Officer for six years. He was known as “Eazy” to his brothers. He also enjoyed shooting pool, playing poker, and fishing. However, his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandson.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Allison “Grace” Krupa and Felix Krupa (Amy); his grandson and joy of his life, Felix Krupa, Jr.; his ex-wife, Catherine Krupa; his siblings (late) Margaret, Janet Tucker (Jeff), and Joseph Krupa (Wendyann).
