Obituary

Ricky was a fighter. Despite doctors believing he would not survive his first year, Ricky lived a full and happy life. His "can-do" attitude always prevailed over his disability. He was a graduate of Newark High School where he was a proud member of the Jr. ROTC.

He was a long-time member of Five Points Fire Company, where he truly enjoyed the brotherhood they extended to him. He always had a smile and a kind word for all he met, he enjoyed hanging out at the fire house and 7-11 with friends. He loved visits to New Orleans and Las Vegas over the years. Ricky was always such a happy spirit, always smiling and willing to help in any way possible. He genuinely enjoyed and embraced life to its fullest and made friends wherever he went.

A special thanks to Rose and Diana from VNA for his care.

Ricky is survived by his parents, Richard and Patricia Seery; his sisters, Lisa Pyle (Scott) and Stella Handlin (Gene); nieces, Alexandra Pyle, Krysten Pyle and Allison Handlin; and nephew, Austin Handlin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, October 30 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilmington, DE. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 2 at 1:30 pm at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Hwy. Wilmington, DE 19808.
