Rita Avril Allicock was born to the late Annie Adela Ruth Allicock and Winston Henry Allicock in Christianburg, Linden in Guyana. On May 17th, 2019, Rita took her last breath in the comforting hands of her second eldest son, Yul Allicock. She was the sixth of ten children. Rita attended Christianburg High School in Christianburg, Linden and finished her high school education by obtaining her GED.

Rita was an industrious, assertive, honest, caring, and trustworthy person. She was a God fearing Christian and a long-standing member of the New Heart Ministries Church. She accepted and placed God first in her life and encouraged her children to live by the principles governing faith in God. Rita was a strong woman tasked with the responsibility to mother and father her seven children whom she never failed to point in the direction of truth. Rita loved to laugh, tell stories, read, worship, and experience life with her children and grandchildren. Her unconditional love for her children was the center of her world in every aspect. Her heart and her core was good for those who had the honor of getting to know her.
In September 1996, Rita migrated to the United States and became a resident of New Castle, Delaware. There she worked at Manor Care Healthcare Service and built a peaceful life for herself, her children, and grandchildren. She had a gentle, generous heart and always willing to help those in need even if it was her last.

Rita is survived by her seven children, (4 sons & 3 daughters), fifteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four brothers, three sisters, and countless relatives. Her impact on their lives will forever be missed and cherished.
