Obituary for Robert J. Kandravi
Bob passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Chester, PA to the late John and Margaret Kandravi.
Bob faithfully served his country for four years in the United State Marine Corp. When he returned home, Bob went to work for Conrail Railroad Company. He was a dedicated employee for many years. Bob was never a man to sit still and, in his retirement, he went back to work. He spent several years working for the Wawa corporation.
Bob had many hobbies. He loved spending an afternoon on the golf course with friends and family as well as spending time wood crafting. Bob was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He supported his team through thick and thin and was never more proud than when they won Superbowl LII.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judith Rae.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Robert Joseph Kandravi (Renee) and Kim Kay Kandravi; his grandchildren, RJ Kandravi (Heather), and Samantha Shick (Brian), and his great granddaughters, Isla Judith Kandravi and Harper Rae Shick. Bob is also survived by his brothers, Jack Kandravi and William Kandravi (Carol).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the celebration of life for Bob at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19805, on Saturday, Aug 31 at 12:00pm. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00am-12:00pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in Bob’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, https://www.alz.org/.
