Age 80 of Lewes
Passed away on January 7, 2022.
Bob, a proud native Delawarean, was born in Wilmington to the late William and Geneva (Dawson) Bamber. He was a salesman his entire career and eventually opened his own garage door company. Bob was a true patriot and faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force as a medic.
Bob enjoyed volunteering as a baseball coach at Suburban Little League for many years. He was a passionate fan of all sports but especially his Philadelphia teams. He was also a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, John Bamber, and his brother, William Jr.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Bernice; his children, Michelle Lamers (Joe) and Brian Bamber (Amie); his grandchildren, Brady, Brett, Bryce (Hannah), Brittany, Braelyn, Corrin, and Zaiden; and his niece, Donna (Ray).
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret of Scotland R.C. Church, 2431 Frazer Rd., Newark, DE 19702, on Tuesday, Jan 18 at 11:30 A.M. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow mass at All Saints Cemetery.
