Age 89 of New Castle
Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Rose Marie was born to the late Stanley and Rose (Kappauf) Kracyla. On October 3, 1953, Rose Marie married the love of her life, Harry Strusowki, together they shared 69 happy years of marriage. She worked for the State of Delaware at William Penn High School in the Cafeteria for many years. However, Rose Marie always said her full-time job was being a wife and mother. She did everything she could for her family especially cooking all their favorite meals. She was also an avid reader often losing herself in a good book.
The family would like to thank Rose Marie’s caretakers; Mimi, Regina, Cecelia, and Sarah, and the Accent Hospice nurses and staff, especially, Sharon, for their compassion and help over the past months.
In addition to her parents, Rose Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, just 25 days prior to her passing; and her siblings, Francis Kracyla and Anne Raign.
She is survived by her sons, Harry, Jr. “Skip” (Tricia), Steven (Evelyn), and Gregory (Lisa); granddaughters, Abby, Ashleigh and Alexandra.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Monday, Nov 21 at 11:00am. Friends may call at the church from 10:00am-11:00am. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family ask contributions to be made in Rose Marie’s name to a charity of your choice.
