Obituary for Stephanie Dawn Rann

Stephanie Dawn Rann, age 30, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 7, 2019. Stephanie was born on February 22,1988 in Galloway Township, NJ to Steven and Theresa Rann.

She is survived in life by her son and the love of her life, Jackson Rann, 5 years old, as well as her parents, Steven J. Rann and Theresa Brown Rann, her sister, Nicole Rann (fiancé, Jason Castaldi) and Joseph Williams loving father of their son, Jackson.

Stephanie is preceeded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lillian Brown. She will be deeply missed by her extended family including grandparents, Margaret Rann, Robert and Mary Rann, many aunts, uncles and cousins and a large number of friends. Even though her life was short, Stephanie was a shining star to everyone whose lives she touched.

She spent many years of her childhood poolside building friendships and lasting memories on a variety of swim teams including Penn Acres, Wedgewood Swim Club and the Boys & Girls Club. She was a 2006 graduate of St. Mark’s High School in Wilmington, DE.

Stephanie was a fearless spirit, a true lover of life and had a never-ending curiosity for the world around her. While that enthusiasm for life served her well in many aspects, it also presented many challenges that she struggled with throughout her life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing and services at Holy Spirit Catholic Church located at 12 Winder Rd, New Castle, DE 19720 on Monday, January 14. The viewing will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial starting at 11:30 a.m.. Private burial to occur at a later date.

Stephanie wanted nothing more than to care for and provide a wonderful life for her son, Jackson.
