Obituary for Stephen Graham

Stephen Graham passed away peacefully on October 9, 2021, at Saint Francis Hospital surrounded by his family.

Stephen was born in Wilmington, Delaware on Wednesday, December 21,1960, to his loving parents, Lewis Graham, Sr. and Sara V. Graham.

He was a loving father to his daughters Jennifer, Elizabeth, and Amanda. He was also a loving, kind, wonderful fiancé to Mary along with her beautiful family! Stephen graduated from Howard High School in 1980 in Diesel Mechanics. He could fix a car like no one’s business. Stephen was a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and Philadelphia Phillies fan. He loved going to church, spending time with Mary, playing football with family, and watching wrestling and football with his grandkids. He was also very involved with his grandkids’ sports and other activities.

Stephen was pre-deceased by his parents; brothers Ralphie Antonine and Lewis Graham, Jr., sister Dolly Shivery, and brothers-in-law George Shivery and Bobby Snitch. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Graham (Patrick Leach), Elizabeth Meconnahey (Matthew Meconnahey), and Amanda Bachtel (John Bachtel); his fiancé, Mary Ciccantelli-Powell; his 8 wonderful grandkids, Joseph Rivera (16), Jada Meconnahey (15), Jonea Graham (15), Alyssa Wilson (14), Aiden Allen (12), Alexis Meconnahey (11), Michael Durham (8), and Raelynn Leach (6); his brothers Pasquale (Pat) Antonine (Janet) and Anthony Graham; his sister Anna Marie Snitch; his sister-in-law Diane Graham; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews who loved him dearly.

He is also survived by his best friends, Michael Elliott and Pauline Wild (Tommy). Stephen was also a stepdad to Ronald, Nate, Steven, Callie (Cookie), and Michael. He kept a bond with them.

Our dad was the most kind, loving, special man you would ever meet, and was loved by everyone. Our dad is OUR hero! He put up a good fight. He was also like a father to every one of our friends; Kelli (Mark), Beth W. (Charles), and Lizzy (Jimmy), and loved their kids like his own grandchildren! Special thanks to Diane Graham for helping us during this time. Dad, we love and miss you terribly. This is not goodbye, but we will see you later. You are now our angel to protect our families and everyone you love. We hope you are dancing in heaven!

There will be a visitation on Monday, October 18, 2021, 10am-11am at Krienen Funeral Home, 101 West 6th Street, New Castle, DE, followed by a brief service at 11am. A Celebration of Life Reception will then follow at Liberty Fellowship Church,
