Obituary for Stephen "Steve" Wdzieczkowski

Stephen “Steve” Wdzieczkowski, age 62, of Bear, Delaware, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 6, 2020.

Born August 24, 1958, in Camden, New Jersey, Steve was the son of Bruno Wdzieczkowski (currently of Maple Shade, New Jersey) and Rose Wdzieczkowski. Steve grew up in the Fairview section of Camden; was a member of ICAC; and graduated from Camden County Technical High School. Then in June 1985, he went on to work for Marino Industrial Systems where he became an Electrical Field Supervisor.

Steve was always willing to lend a hand, he very much enjoyed helping people. He made lifelong friends in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania - family and friends were of utmost importance to him. He loved spending time cooking, walking the beach boardwalks, and the outdoors (he looked forward to his annual camping and fishing trips in Delaware, upstate New York, and Canada). Steve enjoyed all sports, especially the Eagles, having traveled to away games and proudly played (and sang) the fight song at every chance available with his grandchildren. He was not only a great man, but doting husband, father, and pop-pop.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathy (Owens) Wdzieczkowski, along with his dearly loved family including his father, Bruno Wdzieczkowski; sister, Nancy McMann (Joe); sons, Keith Wdzieczkowski, Justin Peck, Aaron Peck, and Brandon Peck; grandchildren, Owen Peck, Logan Peck, Gabrielle Peck, and Kailynn Peck. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rose (Porch) Wdzieczkowski; and sister, Carol Wdzieczkowski.

The family would like to thank Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home for assisting with arrangements. Due to current Covid restrictions, a viewing/service will not take place and instead the family plans to have an intimate gathering to celebrate his life in the Spring/Summer 2021.

To honor Steve, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Philadelphia Eagles Autism Foundation or a charity of your choice.
