Troy Evan Martin
Beloved Father, husband, and son passed away unexpectedly on 5 Sep 2021, at the age of 51, after an unknown aortic aneurism ruptured.
Troy grew up in a military family moving frequently as a young man. After graduating from Del Castle Highschool, he joined the Navy where he served on the USS Enterprise. After his military service, he returned to Delaware and stayed in the Wilmington and New Castle area. Troy spent his working life focused on building and construction. He was a true craftsman, who not only loved the challenge of solving complex building problems, but loved to share and teach his knowledge to others. Much of his career was working for long-time clients that he considered friends and extended family.
Troy loved his family and community, and was friendly and outgoing to everyone he encountered. In his free time, he enjoyed online gaming and spending time with his family.
Troy was the center of our world. He was a tireless caretaker of his family and was a trusted confidant and source of advice for many friends and loved ones. He was kind and generous, always helping those he loved. No amount of effort or time was too much when he knew one of us had a need that he could solve. His calm and easygoing nature gave foundation and joy to all in his presence.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; his children, Jessica and Matthew; his brother, Lee; his mother, Elanor; his grandfather, Robert; his brothers-in-law, Joshua and Logan; sister-in-law, Amanda; and his nieces and nephews.
He was our north, our south, our east, our west, our noon, our midnight, our talk, our song, our workday week, and our Sunday rest. Our hearts are broken. All services are private
