Obituary for Viola G. Jones (Tancredi)
Viola Jones, age 93, of Wilmington DE, passed away on September 20th at Millcroft Nursing Home, while under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice.
Born in Wilmington DE, she was the daughter of the late, Rebel and Viola Tancredi. Viola was employed by the Dupont Company before retiring. Upon her move to Massey's Landing in Long Neck, Delaware. She devoted her time to painting in oil and watercolor and loved living by the water and feeding the birds.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Jones and Francis Green; sister, Jeanette Rhodes, and brothers, Donald and Francis Tancredi.
She is survived by her son, Francis Green and wife, Kathleen of Wilmington; grandchildren, Brian Green and partner, Amy Rinehart, Kristin Knowlton and husband, Craig, Sarah Dowling and husband, John Paul, and great-grandchildren, Brendon Green, Addison Knowlton, and Paul Dowling.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy, Elsmere on Wed. September 28th for a visitation from 11-12, followed immediately by services. Interment is private.
