Alice M. "Grammy" Cook
Age 76 of Wilmington
Passed away peacefully with a smile on her face on May 18,2017.
Alice was a hardworking, proud, and selfless women. A testament to her fortitude was her ability to raise three strong women. She was employed at Ingleside Retirement Community where she retired after many dedicated years of service. Her most proud achievement was receiving her black belt at the age of 56.
Alice loved her family more than anything and her most treasured memories were times spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis J. Novia; her son in law, David Brown; and her niece, Sherry Novia.
Alice will be dearly missed by her three daughters, Donna McFee (Ed Mahan), Valerie Stump, and Melanie Brown; her grandchildren, Devon, Daniel, Ashley, Joshua, Michael, Caleb, and Jacob; and 5 great-grandchildren; and her 2 brothers, Charles Hale (Sue) and Allen Hale (Patricia).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service for Alice on Friday, May 26 at 2:00pm at Gracelawn Memorial Chapel, 2220 N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, DE 19720. Friends may call at the chapel from 1:00-2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
