Obituary

Passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at The Arbors at New Castle.
Allie graduated Wilmington High School in January 1942.
After high school, Allie joined the Army. He served in the European Theater during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Allie was employed as a plumber for Tom Mellon. Later he worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Colonial School District for nearly 30 years.
He belonged to the New Castle Hundred Lions Club, and was named the 2013 Lion of the Year. Allie was also an active member of the St. Peter's Work Force and participated in the New Castle Little League.
Allie is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Ruth, and son, David. He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Napoleon; son, Jim Linus, and daughter-in-law, Joyce; 4 grandchildren, Steven, Jimmy Jr. (Kim), Gregory, and Scott (Franny); and 2 great grandchildren, Olivia and Chase.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle R. C. Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, DE 19720, on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the church from 9:00am-10:30am on Friday, July 25, 2014. Interment will be in the Glebe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Gift of Life, 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123, or New Castle Hundred Lions Club, PO box 462, New Castle, DE 19720.
